How many punk bands are there in North Carolina?

Dusty: There are so many bands in N.C. it is really hard to keep up with them all. It seems like everyone has a band these days, but as far as real punk bands go; they are few and far between.

What are some of the venues for punk shows in NC?

Dusty: The Somewhere Else Tavern in Greensboro is really good place for any band to get their start playing live shows. They also give the bands a DVD and audio disc of their set. The Milestone in Charlotte is a pretty bad ass punk club. We have always had a good time playing in Fayetteville at The Rock Shop and The Black Cat Lounge. Shit we will play anywhere that is not scared to book us.

What are some of the favorite bands you've played with?

Dusty: This June 14th we get to open for The Murder Junkies at Ground Zero in Spartanburg S.C., and for me that is a high light for sure. We opened for CJ Ramone a few years back at Arizona Pete's in Greensboro. The Dirty South Revolutionaries are always a rowdy good time. We have played with a lot of great bands from the Charlotte and Rock Hill area. The Body Bags are a really good horror punk band we have played with a number of times. We opened up for Greece's The Barb Wire Dolls a couple of months back, and they seem to be making a name for themselves here in the states. There are also a lot of great bands from around the area we have not played with but you should check out. Bands like Antiseen, the Flat Tires, SpeedBoozer, All Rise, and The Letdowns just to name a few.

Do you think there is a line punk rock shouldn't cross or is it anything goes?

Dusty: Anything goes… I mean there is such a thing called morals, but the alcohol normally drowns that shit out.

Do The Bleeding Twats have a music video?

Dusty: Yeah, we got some live videos up on YouTube or just Google the Bleeding Twats. You will get us or porn… you score either way. You can also check out our Reverb Nation and Facebook pages.

What are some of The Bleeding Twats hobbies outside of playing punk music?

Dusty: Watching movies is a big part of my life. Not to sound like a lazy asshole, but watching movies has always been my thing since I was a little kid. Back when I could rent five movies for five nights for five dollars on VHS. I also enjoy collecting records and drinking. Nothing too exciting… Like maybe trying to outbid motherfuckers at the last second on Ebay.

What's in the future for The Bleeding Twats?

Dusty: Hopefully staying out of prison and getting this long overdue album out. I am not a fortuneteller so you never know.
