Rich Dad Poor Dad Book Review

Rich Dad Poor Dad is a book about finances. It tells the story of author Robert T. Kiyosaki growing up in Hawaii. His dad is a teacher who never has any money. So when author asks his Dad how to get rich Dad says "IDK ask your friends Dad". The friends Dad gives all kinds of lessons about getting rich. Found out shortly before I finished the book that the whole story is bullshit but I think there is still good advice here.

The main thing I take away from this book is that in order to get rich you have to spend your money on assets, things that will make you money. The middle class fool gets a raise and buys a nice car and a new suit and is broke after that but the rich takes the extra money and invests it in something that will make him more money.

I grew up basically hating the rich. The older I get though the more I want financial freedom. Author kind of rides the middle or the two philosophies, he uses the sneaky rich people tricks to not pay taxes and exploit people but is also concerned with the growing gap between the have and have nots. This is why he tries to teach people how to acquire wealth.

Pretty great book! Def read it if you wanna start getting wealthy and plan for your future.
