1979 made for TV movie which I watched on Drive In Classics. Psychopathic van driver "The Fiddler" runs woman off the L.A. freeway while a lady reporter with a typical "if it bleeds it leads" attitude exploits the story to advance her career. Some good stunts throughout. Freeways are very scary to me anyway so this movie was effective. Lot's of women's lib stuff here as our hero contemplates if she should stay single or let a man take care of her. Also one expert theorizes the killer thinks women are "too big for their britches". I made it almost to the end then rolled over and listened to the climax which was a bunch of tires squealing.
